During our comprehensive sightseeing tours in Rome, Italy, you’ll not only see the most important monuments and buildings, which have become symbols of the city and are renowned worldwide for their unique beauty, but you’ll also hear fascinating stories that delve deep into history.

Many of us have heard since childhood the story of the twin brothers Romulus and Remus, and how Romulus founded the city on the Seven Hills. However, modern archaeological and historical research often reveals a more complex picture than ancient mythological tales suggest.

I will share with you these unique and significant facts and secrets of Rome during our tour. You’ll learn where wealthy Romans lived, what they ate, the fashion of the time, and what daily life was like in Ancient Rome. Additionally, I’ll explain where the most brutal and theatrical executions took place.

What will be the itinerary of our tour

At the start of our journey, we’ll meet by the Colosseum, where I’ll be delighted to show you the sacred symbols of Rome. Together, we’ll traverse through centuries filled with fascinating episodes from the lives of Roman emperors, consuls, and Christian martyrs—whose blood became the seeds and fertile ground upon which the Church of Christ was built.

So, dear friends, we will begin our sightseeing tour at the Colosseum, then proceed along the Roman Forum and the Imperial Forums, visiting the Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian. We’ll ascend the famous Capitoline Hill, home to the oldest museum in Europe, where Michelangelo left his mark with his architecture. We will then descend to Piazza Venezia and enter the Basilica of the Twelve Apostles, which houses Michelangelo’s original burial place.

Through the Trevi Fountain, we’ll reach the Spanish Steps. Along the most expensive street in Rome, Via dei Condotti, we’ll arrive at the Pantheon—the only pagan temple in the city that has survived nearly intact to this day. Next, we’ll visit Piazza Navona and the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who was often compared to the “divine” Michelangelo during his lifetime. Finally, we’ll conclude our tour at Castel Sant’Angelo, once a mausoleum for Roman emperors, offering views of the majestic Basilica of St. Peter in Vatican City.
